THE HEART FOUNDATION OF JAMAICA (HFJ) REFUND POLICY
The Heart Foundation of Jamaica (HFJ) thanks you for your support by purchasing one our services. We hope you were pleased with your decision, however, if you are not completely satisfied and wish to consider a refund, return or exchange please see below for our detailed policy.
Please note that these policies relate to members of the public that utilize services at our facilities located at 28 Beechwood Avenue, Kingston 5. If you will be using our mobile screening programme or participating in group courses through a company, please send your queries concerning refunds to: accounts@heartfoundationja.org with subject “Refund”
- MEDICAL SERVICES
A refund or exchange for medical services is to be requested within thirty (30) days following payment.
- A full refund or exchange will be made under the following conditions:
- The service has not yet been provided
- The HFJ provided the incorrect service in error
- A full refund or exchange will be made under the following conditions:
- Ten percent (10%) of the entire payment is non-refundable or cannot be exchanged if the patient has commenced screening or diagnostic service and is deemed medically unfit to complete the testing process.

- PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS AND OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) ITEMS
In keeping with industry best practice and to ensure the safety of all our patients, a request for refund and return of pharmaceutical drugs and over-the-counter (OTC) items can be made assuming the following conditions are met:
- The items were dispensed in error, were defective, contaminated, misbranded, or dispensed beyond their expiration date.
- In the professional judgment of the pharmacist substantial harm could result to the public or a patient if they were to remain in the possession of the patient, patient’s family or agent, or other person.
All other circumstances will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Refund Process: – To request a refund and arrange return of items, you may the visit the pharmacy or send an email to pharmacy@heartfoundationja.org.
- EMERGENCY CARDIAC CARE (ECC) (CPR & FIRST AID) COURSES
A refund or exchange for CPR and First Aid courses is to be requested within twenty-one (21) days of payment. The following conditions apply:
- The full course fee is non-refundable if the student commences the course but does not complete or is a no-show on the day of the course. Students have up to 6 months to attend and complete the course.
- The full course cost will be refunded if cancellation is at minimum twenty-four (24) hours before the course date and the course manual is returned intact and in original packaging.
- If cancellation is before the course date and the course manual has been opened or used the following refunds will be given:
- 50% for Basic Life Support and Heartsaver Courses
- 65% for Advanced Life Support, Paediatric Life Support and ECG Dysrhythmia courses.
- Fees are non-refundable for the Family & Friends Course and the training manual cannot be returned.

- MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS
Membership fees are non-refundable once the subscription period has commenced. Members will continue to enjoy all benefits up to the annual expiration date.
